How to Fold Down a Sensory Tent? (w/ Easy Video Guide)

Folding a sensory tent with no proper guide is 100% frustrating. Itโ€™s not something you โ€œfigure outโ€ on the go.

Thus, hereโ€™s a simple nine-step guide on how to fold down a sensory tent fast. Either follow the step-by-step process or watch the disassembly video below.

PS! Most sensory tents have a similar construction, so this manual works for most of them.

Sensory Tent Disassembly

Step 1. Remove the Roof Pole

Go to the back of the tent, remove the roof pole, fold it, and set it aside.

Step 2. Flip the Tent on the Side

Flip the tent with the door up and place the bottom to your left. Ensure the door is open to release air.

Step 3. Push the Side Into the Tent

Press your knee on the lower side of the tent and push the edge facing you into the tent.

Step 4. Push Until it Pops Inside

Continue pushing the edge until the edge pops into place.

Step 5. Fold Sides Together

Release air, fold sides together, and tuck material from both sides. Keep the elastic band on your left.

Step 6. Create a Clamshell

With your right hand in the middle, push the bottom left corner upward to create a clamshell shape.

Step 7. Twist One Side Over the Other

Twist the right side of the clamshell over the middle of the tent in a spiral motion, creating a round shape.

Step 8. Twist the Other Side Over

With your right hand on the round shape, twist the left side over in a spiral motion. Keep the elastic band outside.

Step 9. Attach the Safety Strap

Align the twisted sides on top of each other and secure them with the elastic band. Then, add the tent and roof pole inside the tent bag and close the zipper.
